Email addresses
Phone numbers
Dates of birth
Contact lists
Location data
Device identifiers
2. Local Data Storage
All NightGuard data is stored locally on the user’s device only.
This includes:
Selected apps to restrict
Schedules and time limits
Commitment Mode settings
App configuration preferences
NightGuard does not upload or sync data to any external servers.
3. Permissions
NightGuard may request certain device permissions strictly to provide core functionality, including:
App blocking and usage restriction
Do Not Disturb automation
Full-screen overlays
Accessibility services (where required by the operating system)
These permissions are used only to enable NightGuard’s features and are not used for tracking or analytics.
4. Analytics & Tracking
NightGuard does not:
Use advertising SDKs
Track users across apps or websites
Perform behavioural profiling
Sell or share user data with third parties
5. Data Retention
Because all data is stored locally:
Uninstalling NightGuard removes all stored data
Clearing app data resets all settings
Data cannot be recovered after removal
6. Children’s Use
NightGuard may be used by parents or guardians to manage device access for children.
Children are not required to create accounts
NightGuard does not knowingly collect personal data from children
All configuration is managed locally by the device user
7. Third-Party Access
NightGuard does not share data with third parties.
No data is transmitted off-device.
8. Changes to This Policy
